My grandmother made Christmas amazing. She embraced the anticipation, the wonder, the joy, the surprise, and the love at the heart of the season. I am still completely inspired by her childlike excitement.
This card features an original illustration of mine, of a shelf full of holiday ingredients stockpiled through the year and finally ready to be enjoyed, letterpress printed in a deep fig color. The background is also an original drawing of mine, based on a fragment of wallpaper that remains in a building my dad is carefully renovating in downtown Marion, Iowa...a little bit more of the past.

• Each card is 5.5” wide x 4.25”, folded and blank inside
• Letterpress printed by hand, by me, in hand mixed fig and yellow inks
• Printed on thick, white 100% cotton stock
• Includes matching fig envelopes
• Please note that these envelopes require the use of a light colored pen - black shows up on them, but just barely!
