New album papers

I'm assembling a lot of new albums and journals this week and have a small but wonderful collection of papers that I'm using for these. These are silkscreened fiber papers and there's a nice cohesive feel to everything together, at the same time that each pattern and texture is distinct from the other. I'm surrounded by great paper! A sneak peek at where my books are headed these days...

This is a detail of the spine and stitching on a triple section pamphlet stitch album with a beautiful Nepalese silkscreened paper for the covers and oatmeal colored linen book cloth on the spine, and stitched in a sage-y green waxed linen thread. Read the blog post »

Leather and wool books

I have great leather and fabric scraps and really liked the combination of textures when I put the wool/cotton blend right up against the leather. These particular pieces are for a couple of custom Coptic stitch albums I'm working on this week. Read the blog post »
