Remember when you were 13 and your journal was top secret, and
totally embarrassing? Well, we've all changed dramatically since that
fitful middle school age (thankfully!) but we still need places to vent
and work through the mountain of thoughts running through our heads at
any given moment. This time, you don't have to be embarrassed by the
contents 20 years later...well, hopefully!
Whether you're working through major life changes (a journal is a great
place to chronicle a pregnancy or a little one's first year!), traveling
to new
places, or just need a little somewhere to chart out the day-to-day nuts
and bolts, the pages of this journal will give you plenty of clean
white space to make sense of all those tangled wires that otherwise have
the tendency to take over.
The details:
• Measures 5" wide x 7" high
• Covers feature Japanese silkscreened paper (chiyogami) with a burgundy and red floral pattern with white blossoms and cranes edged in gold.
• 40 pages (80, front & back) of hand-torn, smooth, heavy, ivory
colored 100% acid free paper with feathery, deckled edges. It's the perfect surface for pencil, ink, sketching, or
writing. (And, yes, it's so nice it's actually worth all those
adjectives!)
• Bound with waxed dark brown linen thread with a sturdy Coptic stitch
(open, knotted spine) that allows the book to lie flat when open.
We choose the finest materials for each book and carefully construct and assemble all of the pieces by hand. Our journals are constructed to be used and enjoyed, and to last for generations.
