I know, I know, it’s beautiful outside and my folks are visiting…but Charlotte and I are home for a little nap time. I wanted to share the amazing exhibit we saw yesterday at The Met, The Art of Illumination.

Each page is incredible, the process is incredible, and I am so inspired by the pieces in this exhibit. I can’t wait to see how it creeps in to my work!
I saw my first illuminated manuscripts at the Huntington Library in California when I was just a wee high-schooler. I think it’s what got me hooked on book arts in the first place!
As a paper nerd, I’m always taken by how well preserved the paper and ink are on pages this old. Exciting collection!
