Changing seasons

We took the opportunity for a little last minute pre-baby downtime last week…hence the blog silence!

Harvest moon rising over the Cyclone during the Brooklyn Cyclones game this past Saturday evening

We had a great week of things (not to mention gorgeous weather!) and, in addition to getting a serious amount of cleaning and organizing done, having great meals, and relaxing, we also went up to Dia:Beacon on Friday, a Brooklyn Cyclones game on Saturday, and are getting pretty excited to see Hamlet on the 15th. After tearing through all three seasons of Slings & Arrows, we are both in need of some in-person Shakespeare…this should do the trick!

For now, there’s no denying (much as I might like to) that fall is here, and there is lots going on. With all of the focusing on impending parenthood around here, I think we both forgot how much we enjoy the fall. It’s gotten cool and comfortable in New York, and we’ve been treated to some of the most beautiful weather over the last week during our relaxation. We’re lucky kids.

Enjoying ourselves…who knew two people could spend so much time together and still just want more?!

This week, I’m jumping back in to the invitation sets, which are very nearly done and ready to show off! I’m also finishing up a couple of custom guestbooks and have a few more recent custom projects to show off over the next few days. I’m excited to share them with you!

Much more on this soon!

“Splitting an Order” by Ted Kooser was a little too appropriate and sweet to read this morning in today’s Writer’s Almanac entry – enjoy!

  • My brother was one of the July artists at the Dia:Beacon. I meant to tell you, because I know you like to make the trip up there, but I forgot. Next time, I’ll be sure to let you know.

    p.s. So excited for Baby!
