Midsummer work

This week, I’m cranking out a mixed bag of work, including new journals and accordion albums using some of the relatively new chiyogami (Japanese silkscreened) papers. It’s possible I might love these patterns and colors a little too much.

The journal is up on Etsy, and the accordion albums will be later this week!

And, a fun custom project for gifts from a bride to her family, matching accordion albums personalized with the wedding date letterpress printed on each inside front cover:

Plus, a few more new cards that you’ll see are steadily making an appearance on my site, as well as on Etsy – enjoy!

And, sometimes the mistakes and practice runs along the way are a little too fun to keep to myself. This is a hand drawn map of the Maine coast I created for a recent batch of wedding invites (which I’ll share soon!)…playing around with some greens and yellows, but I think I’ll end up doing a card with the map lines in pale blue and some dark blue text over the pale blue background.

Matt’s making web updates as fast as he can…I just made so many new things that it’s taking a bit to get it all up there, but keep your eyes peeled because there’s plenty more to come!

Something about midsummer seems just right for a little Mary Oliver.
