October 10

As you might expect, it’s been a long, busy & productive week. I had a lot of reminders of just how great we have it around here. I can often find reasons to be frustrated, worried, antsy, and concerned, but I do try and remember, as often as I possibly can, that we are very lucky people. There aren’t many of us in the world who have not only found what we love to do, but get to do it every day. I make beautiful things for a living. And I work with beautiful, kind, sweet people to do it. Does it get any better?

I’ve just loaded up my Etsy shop with the new cards from the last week, plus the boxed sets I mentioned before. Tonight, we’re taking a break from the usual routine of working through the evening, and heading out to find some great food. Matt & I have been together for 11 years today, and that seems like a little something worth celebratin’!

Then, we’re off to Providence tomorrow morning for the weekend, to visit my baby sister, Willa, for the first time since she’s moved east! I haven’t seen her since Christmas, and am soooooo looking forward to it!

In honor of October 10, one of my favorite poems, by one of my favorite writers. Enjoy.
