I’ve had four teachers and professors in my life who challenged me to use as few words as I could to say the most possible. Every once in a while, it’s a good exercise to know that you only have one page and that you really can get your point across.
Though I’m not writing about American art history since 1945 or U.S. immigration history or philosophy here, I am going to take their cue and – for once in my life – try to say a little less, and let the pictures do most of the talking. Let’s just say that I had some fun this weekend.

Coffee plant cards printed in hand mixed leaf green ink on fluorescent white 100% cotton paper

Hot pepper cards in that same hand mixed leaf green on fluorescent white 100% cotton paper. If your initial reaction to these is anything like mine & Matt’s was, you may have just said, “Too fun!” out loud.

Drop spine stationery boxes covered in linen bookcloth with satin ribbons…and these are up on Etsy now!
I built several of these boxes this weekend, designed to hold sets of 25 of the cards & envelopes above. I think they just may be a case of all dressed up and everywhere to go!

What did I say? I said sell your cards in drop spine boxes! I love those boxes and I LOVE those hot pepper cards! Bravo, Mags!
It was just a matter of sitting down and taking the time, apparently…I am *loving* these! Thanks for the initial suggestion and the encouragement, and don’t worry – there are plenty more to come!
These look great, Maggie – do you have a store set up? I would LOVE to buy some of your material for gifts.
Derp – Etsy. Derp. Do you know @bre?
Thanks, Dan! And I just put the first of the boxes up on Etsy…brooklynbookbinder.etsy.com – enjoy!
