In addition to the workshops I announced at Brooklyn Mercantile in Park Slope, I have another workshop date confirmed and would love to have you join, if you’re interested in learning how to do some of the stitching and binding techniques I use.
Introduction to Coptic Stitch Bookbinding Workshop
Saturday, November 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
at Pluto Gallery in Brooklyn
We’ll go through everything involved in making a Coptic stitch book, from tearing paper, pasting, and sewing. We’ll cover planning, preparations, and technique, and everyone will get to leave with their very own handmade journal or sketch book at the end of this workshop. This is an introduction to Coptic stitch and open to all levels of experience, especially bookbinding beginners! Class size is limited to 6. $125 fee includes materials.
If you’d like to register for the workshop at Pluto Gallery on November 8, please contact me.
For the workshops on October 23 & 24 at Brooklyn Mercantile, you can get more information here and register by contacting Brooklyn Mercantile.

Wow, Maggie! Everything is so beautiful and your schedule’s excitement is only exceeded by its business.
mwah!
that didn’t make sense. I meant busy-ness, as in how busy you are.
It made sense! Thanks for the compliment…it’s a lot of fun around here these days, even through (especially because of?) all the busy-ness!
