Mom, we need to get you set up with a blog! That's a vehicle that's just waiting with open arms for you!

Gene, your comment was a welcome and unanticipated surprise. I am completely flattered by your words, and you just brought a small tear to the corner of my eye on a gray Tuesday morning. It's pretty wonderful to have a life where you get to know such phenomenal people, eh?

I studied with Harry Duncan at the University of Iowa in 1970 and then with his successor Kay Amert.

Harry's quiet presence and example as an artist and printer changed that freshman's way of seeing the world and shaped who I became.

I'm very taken with your work. Learning of your connection to Harry was a surprise and also just what I'd expect in the presence of such beauty.

Thanks

Hey! this is actually your mother writing from Dad's computer. How wonderful to evoke Harry's memory on this gray day that promises spitting snow. At the end of April no less!

It is a source of pride to think that Harry had my "Iowa Spring " hanging in his bedroom throughout his last illness.

Transplanted here as I am, it is heart-warming to find others who recognize Iowa's shy and dazzling beauty!

Thanks !
